Plan a Disney Vacation this Spring Break
Just the mention of Disney will automatically get cries of excitement from kids. This is not surprising since the Disney World Resort in Orlando is one of the top vacation destinations for families during spring break. But since the resort sees the most number of vacationing families, you should plan a Disney vacation carefully by getting yourself acquainted with the different parks in advance.
If you have younger kids, you should consider the Magic Kingdom Park. It has the most family-oriented rides with something for every member of the family. A walk through the park is like reliving a Cinderella scene with the castle in the background. Meanwhile, rides like the Haunted Mansion, Pirates of the Caribbean and the Space Mountain are Magic Kingdom classics. Kids can also go on excursions on Cinderella’s Golden Carousel and at Dumbo the Flying Elephant.
Teens and older kids meanwhile will love Epcot Park. Its pavilions will take adventurists to Germany, Italy, France, Canada and China without even leaving Disney World. But true to the resort’s family-oriented theme, kids will find equally entertaining rides like the Spaceship Earth. Of course, you should not miss Epcot’s best spring display-the Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival which is truly a feast for the eyes; whether you have a green thumb or not.
Blizzard Beach adds a different flavor to the Disney experience. When you plan Disney vacations, don’t dare miss this water park which is dubbed to be one of the best in the country with its record holder (the tallest) free-falling water slides. Speed water slides and Toboggan Racers will prove to be exhilarating while Tike’s Peak is a favorite among kids. If the Blizzard Beach’s adventure is not enough, another water theme park to consider is the Typhoon Lagoon. Here, you can dare to snorkel with real sharks on the Shark Reef.
For adrenalin junkies, the Hollywood Studios with its thrilling rides is another should-not-miss when visiting Disney World Orlando. The Rock n’ Roller Coaster will have you screaming to the top of your lungs while live shows and Broadway-style musical performances will give you a glimpse of what Hollywood is like.
If you think you think you haven’t had enough of Disney World Orlando, then the last place you should visit and include when you plan Disney vacation is Downtown Disney. With a string of shops selling anything from Mickey Mouse shirts to stuffed toys, the shopping district allows you to bring your Disney experience back home. There are also restaurants servinggourmet food and a lively nightlife to look forward to here.
