One Sick Love Story: The Fault in Our Stars Movie
It’s already June and that means it is the premiere of one of the most awaited movie of the year, The Fault in our Stars. A book written by John Green that takes the story of a girl who survived cancer named Hazel Grace Lancaster and another cancer survivor named Augustus Waters. The story revolves around these two main characters, how they met and shared their views about what is coming up for them and their cancer-bonded lives. It’s a great book that would bring tears to anyone who would read it. Yes, the readers will cry, not just because of the illness but because of the love story that bloomed from the ill-fated lives of Hazel Grace and Augustus. This book-based movie will give the audience an emotional roller coaster ride that will take them to happiness in one scene and heartbreaks the next second.
The story takes incredible twists and turns that will surely make its readers say, “What is going on with this?” It has been making noise in almost every part of the world. Even John Green is on a tour together with his star-studded cast, visiting different places and promoting the movie. Hazel Grace is played by Shailene Woodley, who also played the role of Beatrice Prior in Divergent, while Ansel Elgort takes on the role of Augustus, who also had a role in the movie Divergent named Caleb Prior, the brother of Tris Prior. From one best seller to another, Shailene and Ansel Elgort will drive the audience mad and crazy with their story. It’s a typical girl-meets-boy story except it isn’t. Confusing, right?
Aside from this extraordinary and very talented cast, The Fault in Our Stars also prepared a great soundtrack for the audience. A soundtrack that will surely bring everyone to tears, hear the songs of Birdy, Kodaline, Jake Bugg, STRFKR, Tom Odell, Ray Lamontagne, One Republic and one of the biggest hit makers in the music industry today, Ed Sheeran. Ed Sheeran even composed a song made for the movie franchise itself. This soundtrack is released on the internet, look them up and listen to the songs while you cry your eyes out.
Great story, great cast and a great soundtrack all in one movie, this is what the fans of The Fault In our Stars will experience while watching. If you haven’t read the book, you better take a day off and read the whole book in one day. It would be a big mistake to watch the movie without reading the book.
Just a reminder, be ready to bring enough tissue paper because it’s going to be one sick love story.
