The Russian blue cat breeds has often been associated with royalty and which animal pet lover would not fall in love with this feline’s majestic and regal stance. There are many theories where this cat breed has originated from the northern Russian port of Archangel, being descendants of the Russians czar’s pet cats to Scandinavia; no one really knows which the most accurate story is but this breed almost died out after WW II. It was a good thing that a group of cat breeders have taken the initiative and continued to cross breed until they were able to restore this cat breed to its former glory. Here are the things to remember when caring for these feline pets.
These pets are fiercely loyal pets but wary of strangers – Considered as one of the most behaved feline pets, these pet cats are very fiercely loyal and affectionate to their human companions and family. They are very good with children and often seek playtime with their pet owners. Yet they are very wary of anyone outside their human families so don’t be surprised if your pet cat doesn’t make their presence felt if there are any strangers or guests that would be visiting the home.
These pet cats are the cleanliest of the lot – The Russian blue cat breed can be considered as one of the cleanliest of the all cat breeds. If their litter boxes are not cleaned they would find somewhere else to do their business. These cats wouldn’t go near dirty litter boxes which is a reminder to all pet owners for this cat breed to keep these animal’s litter boxes clean at all times.
These cat breeds like to keep things on a schedule – With this cat’s famous for its good behavior it also not a wonder that they don’t like making changes in their schedule. These pet cats prefer to keep everything on a schedule from their play time to dinner time. A slight change in the schedule might result into a disgruntled cat. Make sure to keep a list of schedules when taking care of your cat that is not just convenient for them but for you as well.
