5 Sure Fun Adult Party Games
Christmas is truly the season to be jolly! There will surely be lots of parties everywhere and by now, I am quite sure that your planner is already full of Christmas party schedules. But with the kind of technology that we have today, people who are socially awkward tend to sulk in the corner and just play games on their smart phones. People who are engrossed to the technology today are the reasons why we should think of the very best games to play on during Christmas parties.
For me, the top 5 sure boredom killers are the following:
1. Who am I?
In this game, names of employees will be written on a piece of paper. The paper will be jumbled inside a fish bowl. Two teams will battle against each other. Each team should assign a representative who will pick one paper inside the fish bowl. He or she is also the one who will imitate the person whose name is written on the paper. The first group that can guess the person right wins.
2. Human Bingo
People will surely arrive at your party. At the time of their arrival, hand each one a bingo card and a marker. The bingo boxes should contain random descriptions of your guests. For example, one bingo box contains a description that says “has a mole on the cheek” while the other box says “lives in New York City.” Each guest should find the corresponding person who matches the description written on the boxes, creating a bingo-like pattern. People should let other people sign their bingo cards as a proof that they have found the person who matched the description. The first one to make a pattern wins. This is a good game to get your guests moving and talking to each other.
3. Anything you can do, I can do better.
In this game, you need people who will stand as “experts.” This is a battle between two teams. Each team should assign a person who will battle with the representative of the opposing team. “Pre-decided” tasks will be given to both teams. For example: swimming. Team 1’s first representative will act as if he or she is swimming for a minute. When a minute is over, team 2’s representative should one up the actions of team 1’s representative. Experts will decide which team should get the points. The team that will get the most number of points win.
4. Name that Tune
This is a game between two teams. The first team that will get the correct song title will win. The team will get the most number of points win.
5. Spin the Bottle
Do I really need to explain this? Okay, spin the bottle is a game that can be played by a small group. The bottle will be spun and whoever the bottle cap is pointing at when it stops gets asked if he or she will answer the truth or just suffer the consequences. Be careful when playing this game because you don’t want your guests to feel uncomfortable with each other.
Attending Christmas parties should be fun! In a corporate setting, employees look forward to games because this is the only time when they can break free from stress. Furthermore, Christmas parties give them the opportunity to know their workmates better most especially if the company is big and composed of a lot of employees.
